Watchexchange provides enthusiast listings with seller-written descriptions, asking prices, photographs, condition notes, and community transaction context. WatchSnipe monitors new sale posts, waits for the seller body when necessary, and rechecks sold or removed signals over time.

Title-only posts are retained as low-quality market observations only after the detail polling window expires. They do not support alert-grade price or deal claims.

eBay

eBay adds broader active inventory, fixed-price listings, auctions, images, seller fields, and marketplace lifecycle data. WatchSnipe normalizes watch identity from source fields and listing text, then refreshes eligible active items because bids, prices, and availability can change.

The live eBay page remains authoritative for the current offer, fees, shipping, seller policy, and availability.

Normalization, AI, and limits

Watch references and condition language are not consistently structured. WatchSnipe uses deterministic parsing plus third-party AI processing through OpenRouter for selected normalization and matching tasks. Public price pages are still gated by observed comp counts rather than model confidence alone.

Source listings can contain mistakes, stale prices, undisclosed condition issues, or sales that complete at a different private price. The data is market context, not authentication, escrow, investment advice, or an appraisal.
