The data behind the alerts

Watch market data built from listings, not a static price guide.

WatchSnipe maintains an always-on listing database across public watch-market sources. Normalized reference numbers, asking prices, sold signals, active asks, timestamps, and source context power price checks, reference-family maps, and alert price context.

What a price page measures

An exact-reference page summarizes recent observations for one watch reference. Depending on available data, it can show a sold median, observed range, trend, time-to-sell signal, active asks, and the number of comparable rows supporting the view.

A reference-family map groups related generations so buyers can compare where models sit in the same market without pretending they are interchangeable.

Quality thresholds before publication

Not every extracted reference becomes an indexable price page. The public price surface requires a minimum recent comp count, a path-safe reference, and enough normalized data to render a useful result. Searches with insufficient evidence show that limitation instead of inventing a range.

How to use the numbers

Use market data to set a realistic alert, compare an asking price, or identify questions for a seller. Then adjust for the actual watch: condition, polishing, service, age, dial, bracelet, box and papers, geography, fees, and authenticity.

WatchSnipe reports observed marketplace data. It does not publish an official appraisal and cannot know the final private transaction price in every sale.

Frequently asked questions

How recent are the comps?

Public price checks use a rolling recent-data window and show the generated or updated time on the page.

Why is a reference unavailable?

It may not have enough recent sold observations, or the normalized reference may still be ambiguous.

Are asking prices the same as sale prices?

No. WatchSnipe labels active asks and sold signals separately because an asking price is not a completed transaction.

Can I browse without Telegram?

Yes. Public price checks and watch price maps are available on the website; Telegram is used for saved alerts.
